Pioneer, a Tokyo based electronic manufacturer has succeed developing a 16 layers optical disc. This is worlds first 16 layers optical disc. This disc able to store 400Gigabytes Data on single disc. So each layer holds up to 25GB. Pioneer will introduce this at the International Symposium on Optical Memory and Optical Data Storage 2008 in Hawai.
LG Introducs a New Line of Blu-Ray Burners with Ultra-Fast Recording Speeds

LG has launched the Blu-Ray burners two days ago. 6x external with ultra-fast recording speeds.
The prices are, BE06 (250€), GBC-H20L (130€) and GBW-H20L (180€) all included the LightScribe and SecurDisc technology.
